Our client, a manufacturing plant in the Tijuana Industrial Park, relied on an American-made press that had been in continuous operation for over 30 years. The drive gears were showing considerable wear, threatening the machine's performance and safety. The client's urgent need was to ensure a repair that would allow for the press's long and safe operation without compromising accuracy or production times.

At Mektron Mexico, we performed a thorough repair of the press, disassembling the counterweights and the drive system to inspect the entire structure. The 2.5-inch diameter shaft was removed, and the worn gears were replaced with high-quality MARTIN gears, reusing the central bushing. We precisely welded the new gears, respecting the original angular calibration. Finally, we leveled and squared the system using high-precision measuring instruments, ensuring perfect and long-lasting operation.
